Rowling and Alternative Identities

For a while now we’ve now known Dumbledore was gay, but now I realize J K Rowling has also addressed stigma against otherkin in her writing. Look how Hermione is terrified to become a cat in The Chamber of Secrets. Isn’t that a great reflection on how we’re socially conditioned to react to an otherkin identity? Also, just think about how the Ministry of Magic (aka government) regulates animal identity? You have to be licensed before you can express yourself as an animagus. Shouldn’t wizards be more open about that? I think Rowling is really on the side of otherkin/therian because of her constant critiques of government through the idiocy of the Ministry of Magic.
